    GRAICE ("the App") is developed by Kinected Solutions LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our AI-powered Bible study app.

    Information We Collect

    Local Storage (On Your Device)

    The App stores the following data locally on your device using your browser's IndexedDB:

    • Bookmarks and highlights
    • Journal entries
    • Reading preferences (font size, theme, translation)
    • Reading history and progress

    This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time through the App's settings.

    AI Scripture Queries

    When you ask questions about Scripture or request study insights, your questions are sent to our backend AI services for processing. We do not store these queries linked to any personal identifier. The queries are processed to generate responses and may be used to improve our AI capabilities.

    Push Notifications (Optional)

    If you enable daily verse notifications, we store:

    • Your device's push notification token
    • Your preferred notification time
    • Your timezone

    This information is used solely to deliver your daily verse at your requested time. You can disable notifications at any time through the App's settings, which will delete this data from our servers.

    Analytics

    We collect basic, anonymized usage analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve the user experience. This includes general usage patterns but does not include personal information or the content of your study sessions.

    Delete Your Data

    GRAICE is designed with privacy in mind. Here's how to delete your data:

    Local Data (stored on your device)

    Your bookmarks, journal entries, reading preferences, and cached chapters are stored only on your device. To delete this data:

    1. Open GRAICE
    2. Tap "Settings" in the bottom navigation
    3. Scroll to "Data Management"
    4. Tap "Clear Cached Chapters" to remove downloaded scripture content

    Note: Bookmarks, journal entries, and preferences are stored separately. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app will remove all local data.

    Data types stored locally:

    • Bookmarks and highlights
    • Journal entries
    • Reading preferences (font size, theme, translation)
    • Reading history and progress
    • Cached scripture chapters

    Server Data (push notifications)

    If you enabled daily verse notifications, we store your device token and preferred notification time. To delete this data:

    1. Open GRAICE
    2. Tap "Settings" in the bottom navigation
    3. Scroll to "Notifications"
    4. Toggle off "Daily Verse Notifications"

    This immediately deletes from our servers:

    • Your device's push notification token
    • Your preferred notification time
    • Your timezone

    AI Queries

    When you ask questions about Scripture, your queries are processed by our AI services but are not stored with any personal identifier. There is no data to delete as we don't maintain records linking queries to individuals.

    Data Retention

    • Local data: Retained until you clear it or uninstall the app
    • Push notification data: Deleted immediately when you disable notifications
    • AI query content: Not retained in any identifiable form

    No Account Required

    GRAICE does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal identification. Your study experience is designed to be private and personal.

    Data Security

    We implement appropriate technical measures to protect any data we do process. Local data on your device is protected by your device's security features. Data transmitted to our servers for AI processing is encrypted in transit.

    Age Requirements & Children's Privacy

    GRAICE is designed for users aged 13 and older. The App's AI-powered features and in-depth Scripture study tools are intended for teens and adults who can engage with and interpret the content appropriately.

    Families may use GRAICE together, and the App includes reading level options that help parents and guardians share Scripture with younger children under their supervision.

    Your privacy is protected by design. GRAICE requires no account creation, no email address, and no personal information to use. Your bookmarks, journal entries, reading progress, and preferences are stored locally on your device—not on our servers. We do not track your reading habits, and there are no analytics profiles tied to you or your family.

    We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us through the optional push notification feature, please contact us so we can promptly delete that data.

    Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
